1. Install and start the trial
Download the Windows installer, complete installation, and open NoveMD. The 30-day full-featured trial starts automatically on first use; no activation code is needed to explore the editor.
2. Create a workspace
Use the workspace area to open a folder containing Markdown files. Your files remain ordinary local .md documents, so you control their location and can continue using your existing backup or version-control workflow.
3. Create and structure a document
Create or open a Markdown file and write directly in the reading-oriented canvas. Headings, paragraphs, quotes, lists, code, links, images, tables, footnotes and a table of contents can be inserted from the menus when needed.
- Use Focus mode to reduce distractions.
- Use Typewriter mode to keep the current line in view.
- Switch to Source mode when you want to inspect Markdown directly.
4. Add diagrams and mathematics
NoveMD renders Mermaid diagrams and LaTeX mathematics inside the document. Keep the source with the text so complex ideas remain editable and portable.
5. Keep images with the document
When a document depends on remote images, use image localisation tools to save those resources near your document. Review the resulting paths before moving or sharing the folder.
6. Import, export and review
Use the File menu to import supported documents or export the current work. NoveMD supports delivery-oriented formats including Word, PDF and PowerPoint. Export quality can depend on fonts, document structure and installed applications, so review the final file before publishing.
7. Activate when it fits
During the trial, the status button shows the remaining days. Purchase a perpetual licence only after you have tested your own workflow. Paste the provided activation code into the licence window and select Online activation.
